As a business we are deeply committed to making a positive long-term improvement wherever we operate and we engage closely with communities around the world. We achieve this by engaging with our communities to identify opportunities to make high-impact social investments in the areas of education, health and safety, the environment, human rights, and anticorruption.

We seek to become an integral part of the local community by knowing their needs and helping to provide resources to improve people’s daily lives, valuing local cultures and assets.

The TUMO Box Learning Center in Armenia

The TUMO Box Learning Center is one of our landmark community-based Social Investment Projects, based on the principles of Creating Shared Value, and consisting of a transformative learning network that equips thousands of students with future-ready skills at the intersection of technology and design. The project is indeed aligned with our long-standing, deep-rooted connection to the local community, which has also fostered the development of initiatives such as the AUA Open Education Center. As we continue our journey towards sustainable power generation and a low-carbon future, we recognize the vital role our communities play as partners in this transformation. The establishment of the Tumo Box Learning Centre exemplifies the power of collaboration and strong partnerships across our workforce and local communities.

Celebration of The Severance Days

In the summer of 2025, we sponsored the Severance Days celebration — held in the town of Severance, Colorado —  as opportunity to raise awareness of the benefits of renewable energy and to reinforce our ties with the communities surrounding the BHS complex, which first phase has become operational in September 2025.

As a key sponsor, we contributed in-kind support — including stage setup, sound, and emergency services — and took part with a dedicated tent designed to boost interaction during the event. Our ContourGlobal tent was centered at the heart of this traditional festival, packed with activities for families, kids, and adults alike. Many of the workers at our facilities live in this area, and this event has also been an opportunity to further connect with local authorities, neighbors, and landowners — helping raise awareness of our commitment to advance The Right Power Forward, to attract and retain excellent talent, and to ensure our project aligns with the community’s expectations.  It was also a valuable occasion to engage with the key stakeholders in the community and to effectively discuss community priorities and partnerships and to embody our commitment to creating shared value responsibly and to demonstrate our sustainable business principle of building strong, reliable partnerships.

Adamavo High School in Togo

For 15 years, our 100 MW Lomé power plant has been powering progress in Togo, delivering reliable electricity and strengthening the country’s energy independence. But we have been also invested more than USD $1.3 million in community projects, focusing on education, healthcare, and local development.

On October 1st, 2025, we proudly inaugurated the expansion of Adamavo High School, located near our plant. Six new fully equipped classrooms, complete with lighting, fans, and 230 desks will now provide a better learning environment for local students. Since 2010, our long-standing partnership with Adamavo High School has already benefited more than 30,000 students.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony brought together key local community leaders, alongside representatives from the U.S. Embassy in Lomé, Mrs. Djani Epouse Afantchao, Regional Director of Education Grand Lomé, and Carlo Zorzoli, our Head of Europe & Africa. This inauguration is a renovated testament of the company’s role as a trusted partner in Togo’s economic and social development.
