Wind farm Scharndorf is owned by ContourGlobal Beteiligung GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of ContourGlobal Erneuerbare Energie Europa GmbH. It consists of eight turbines: three Senvion M122 (3.4 MW each), two Vestas V117 (3.45 MW each), one Vestas V150 (6.0 MW), one Vestas V136 (4.2 MW), and one Vestas V80 (2.0 MW), with a combined installed capacity of 29.3 MW and an annual generation of approximately 81 GWh. It is located 30 km east of Vienna, in the municipality of Scharndorf, and is connected to the medium-high voltage grid operated by Netz Niederösterreich.

The first turbine began commercial operations in 2003, followed by several repowering phases. The final repowering stage was completed in 2024. The majority of the turbines operate under a fixed feed-in tariff scheme for 13 years, while the more recent turbines are covered by 20-year Contracts for Difference (CfDs).
