CSP Portfolio

ContourGlobal owns and operates five Concentrated Solar Power (“CSP”) plants in South-West Spain with a total capacity of 250MW (50MW each). The five CSP plants were developed and commissioned between 2009 and 2012 with parabolic trough technology using leading suppliers and developers (including Nuovo Pignone(GE) and Siemens). 

The CSP plants are located in Alvarado, Majadas, Orellana in Extremadura and Palma del Rio in Andalusia. The plants are regulated under the Spanish renewable remuneration scheme with an average remaining regulated lifetime of 10 years. Together, the plants produce clean energy equivalent to the electricity demand of around 161,000 homes. 

CSP Plants were certified by SGS on July 2019. We obtained triple certification (Integrated Management System) in ISO 14001:2015, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
