ContourGlobal owns ground-mounted PV solar energy plants at 32 sites in Slovakia with a gross capacity of 35 MW, each of which is operational and connected to the Slovakian national energy grid. The Slovakian Solar Plants, commenced operations between 2010 and 2011.

Our Head of Austria and Slovakia
BERNARD HAIDER
Bernhard has been with ContourGlobal since February 2018. Prior to his appointment as a Country Manager for Austria and Slovakia he held various international roles. He was leading global Project Finance, acted as CEO for CG Kosovo and stepped in as interim CFO for Global Renewables and gained deep knowledge about the renewable sector as CFO for the European Renewables Division.
He started his career in the audit department at PwC Austria and was leading their energy practices for years. Before joining ContourGlobal he moved as a PwC Middle East Partner to Jerusalem and Cairo and was leading the Energy Practice for Levante and North Africa for 8 years.
In his current role he is focusing on the development of greenfield wind projects in Austria, repowering existing windparks and increasing the efficiency of the wind and solar portfolio in Austria and Slovakia. He gained his economic background studying Business Administration at the University of Vienna.
