ContourGlobal was founded in late 2005 by our Chief Executive Officer Joseph Brandt and Reservoir Capital Group, a $4 billion USD investment fund based in New York. ContourGlobal develops, acquires and operates electric power and district heating businesses around the globe. We focus upon high-growth, under-served markets and innovative niches within developed markets- such as renewable and Combined Heat and Power (CHP).

We operate two primary business lines: an Independent Power Producer business that develops and operates large central generating stations that supply their power to national electrical grids and our ContourGlobal Solutions business which develops and operates innovative inside-the-fence combined heat and power facilities for multinational clients requiring dependable, highly efficient energy produced in a sustainable way.

Working closely with governments, development banks and multinational clients, we take a “client first” approach to power project development. We utilize our internal technical and commercial capabilities to rapidly evaluate and implement new development, repower older energy assets and acquire existing operations.

We bring new sources of electricity to historically under-served markets, and improve people’s lives by offering reliable, affordable energy that promotes economic growth and social well-being. In more developed markets, we provide cleaner, more efficient energy using new applications of existing solutions and employing innovative technology.
